The RFA / TEXAS Board of Directors was invited in for his Christmas Party on Saturday 12/5/09 in Austin. Unfortunately, due to the foul weather, only Chairman Jim Smarr was able to attend. Jim had a nice chat with the Governor, and thanked him for the letter he recently sent to the other Gulf Governors to help us with Red Snapper. They all signed a joint letter at the request of Governor Perry which was sent to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, asking to work on problems with catch shares and Annual Catch Limits.
